Unit Mission

The ELLIS Unit Franconia advances cutting-edge research in Learning and Intelligent Systems across artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, robotics, computer vision, language technology, and related application areas. It fosters interdisciplinary collaboration across Franconian universities and trains the next generation of AI and ML experts through interconnected academic programs, doctoral training, and summer schools. It translates research into ethical, transparent, and sustainable real-world applications that address societal challenges and strengthen Franconia as a center for innovation.
