Image processing of data from new astronomical space missions (Euclid or Roman space telescopes) using methods of machine learning: We plan to develop methods to decompose astronomical images in one of two regimes: either into independent layers (in particular, stars and nebulosity), and to automatically calibrate images either by learning PSF models (based on the above separation); or, the parsing of so-called slitless spectra (greatly overlapping on the detector) into the spectra of individual stars.
