Diffusion Models and applications

The abstract of the PhD project titled "Diffusion Models and applications" describes the goal of generative AI to obtain new samples from an unknown probability distribution using a time reversal of a diffusion process characterized by a stochastic differential equation (SDE). The project focuses on models where noise injected in the diffusion process may not be Gaussian or independent, considering the image as a configuration of a lattice gas automaton with stochastic dynamics. This approach is expected to simplify the inversion of the diffusion process and training of the model. The performance of these generative AI models will be assessed in practical areas such as medicine, astronomy, and environmental sciences.
