The ELLIS Unit in Turin focuses on learning algorithms and systems for safe, secure and efficient sensing machines. We are interested in intelligent agents able to act upon what they perceive, learn from their experience and guide their data acquisition strategy and task planning according to their future goals. The Unit, which builds on faculties at Politecnico di Torino, works on visual and multimodal learning, graph learning for sensing and security, cybersecurity, safety in machine learning algorithms and hardware. We closely collaborate with a significant set of industries, representative of the Turin and Italian ecosystem, in automotive, manufacturing and embedded systems.
