Multiple Postdoc Positions (Trustworthy ML, Transfer Learning, Theory and Algorithms) in Lampert Group at ISTA

Multiple postdoc positions in Machine Learning are available at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) in the group of Christoph Lampert (ELLIS Unit Vienna). Possible topics include, but are not limited to,

• trustworthy machine learning (e.g. privacy, fairness, robustness, federated learning, LLM security, ...),
• transfer/continual/meta learning (also multi-task learning, domain adaptation, lifelong learning, ...),
• the interface of symbolic AI (logic, reasoning, knowledge representations, discrete optimization) with statistical machine learning (neural networks, statistics, gradient-based optimization).

Candidates at the interface with other research areas present in our ELLIS Unit (see https://ellis.pages.ista.ac.at/research/) are also invited to apply, as a co-affiliation with multiple research groups is possible. Female candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
