Fully Funded PhD in Graph Signal Processing and Graph Machine Learning at Télécom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris
We are offering a fully funded 3-year PhD position at Télécom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, within the Hi! PARIS-funded SIGMA project, starting in Spring 2027.
Research topic: Signal-aware Graph Summarization with GNN Guarantees.
The project lies at the intersection of graph signal processing, graph machine learning, and geometric deep learning. Its goal is to develop principled methods for jointly summarizing graph structures and their associated signals while preserving information needed for signal reconstruction and downstream learning tasks.
The research will focus on higher-order graph structures, theoretical guarantees for graph neural networks (GNNs), interpretability, and scalability to large graphs.
Supervisors: Jhony H. Giraldo, Aref Einizade, and Philippe Ciblat. The project may also involve scientific collaboration with Antonio Ortega.
We seek highly motivated candidates with an MSc or equivalent degree in computer science, applied mathematics, signal processing, machine learning, or related fields. Strong mathematical foundations and Python/PyTorch programming skills are expected.
To apply, please send your CV, a one-page motivation letter, transcripts, and at least one recommendation letter to:
