Fully-funded PhD on Social Reinforcement Learning to Support the Agroecological Transition

In the context of the MSCA COFUND BEST programme (https://doctorat.univ-toulouse.fr/cofund-best), we are proposing a PhD thesis subject on « Social Reinforcement Learning to Support the Agroecological Transition »,.

The PhD will be jointly supervised by INRAE Toulouse (France) and the IIIA-CSIC (Barcelona, Spain), providing an international research environment at the intersection of reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, and agroecological transition. Please find the detailed PhD project attached.

The successful candidate will start the PhD in September 2027.

Who can apply?

• Academic Requirements: By the call deadline (by 23/11/26), candidates must hold a master’s degree or equivalent diploma; and must not hold a doctoral degree.

• Mobility Rule w.r.t France: Applicants must not have resided or conducted their primary activity (work, studies, etc.) in France for more than 12 months in the 36 months preceding the call deadline (by 23/11/26),.
