PhD Position in Physical AI at Aarhus University

🚀 Fully funded PhD position in Physical AI at Aarhus University, in the A3 Lab led by Assoc. Prof. Behzad Bozorgtabar.

Research directions include vision-language-action models, world models and safe test-time adaptation of robotic foundation models under distribution shift, uncertainty and real-world constraints, with hands-on work on real robotic systems.

Why join us. The A3 Lab publishes at top-tier ML/CV venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR). The lab is embedded in Denmark's AI ecosystem through the Pioneer Centre for AI (P1) and the DIGIT Centre at Aarhus, and the position comes with opportunities for collaboration and research visits across the ELLIS network. You will work closely with industrial partners in robotics and autonomous systems, so your methods are tested on real problems rather than benchmarks alone. The position is fully funded and salaried, with a competitive Danish PhD salary, in an international, English-speaking research environment.

This is a highly selective position. Applications are accepted exclusively through the official link below. Applications sent by email will not be considered. Deadline is Sunday 1 November 2026, 23:59 CET.
