Research Assistant (all genders) - Zuse School ELIZA

TU Darmstadt and the Konrad Zuse School of Excellence in Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELIZA) invite applications for a full‑time Research Assistant (Doctoral Researcher, TV‑TU Darmstadt E13, 100%) in machine learning–driven AI. The PhD project will address fundamental research questions in modern ML and AI, supervised by an ELIZA Fellow at TU Darmstadt and co‑supervised by a second ELIZA Fellow or Industrial Fellow from another site. The position is part of the national ELIZA graduate school, which offers a structured PhD curriculum, networking across seven German AI locations, and a mandatory 6–12 month research stay at another ELIZA site. Candidates should hold an excellent Master’s degree in computer science, cognitive science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or a related field, have strong ML and programming skills (e.g. PyTorch, JAX), and be highly motivated for independent research
