Get to know Theresa Eimer, Postdoc at Leibniz University Hannover 🇩🇪. Her area of research covers Automated Reinforcement Learning (AutoRL), Hyperparamter Optimization, Evaluations in RL.
She’s an ELLIS Member. She describes overcoming a challenge: “I'm working between two research fields that don't have a lot of overlap (AutoML and Reinforcement Learning). This means I really had to improve my communication skills to make sure the motivation for my work is clear to both communities. For me, this meant a lot of practice: giving a lot of talks, writing down my thoughts and participating in science communication projects that force me to express myself in clear, non-technical language.”
