Spotlight on Neslihan Bayramoglu

Meet Neslihan Bayramoglu, Senior Research Fellow at University of Oulu 🇫🇮 and ELLIS Member. Her area of research is applied artificial intelligence in health, focusing on machine learning and computer vision for medical image analysis and large-scale health data.
She says that her long term goal in the field is to contribute to machine learning tools that can genuinely ease the lives of people struggling with health issues; whether pain, chronic conditions, or limitations that make everyday life difficult… “Major advances are rarely the result of one person alone, but they are built from many individual contributions, and I am motivated to be part of that process.”
She wanted to participate in this campaign to highlight the human side of research and take the opportunity to share perspectives that she finds important for young female researchers.
