Spotlight on Maria A. Zuluaga

She recently was awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for her project #CARAVEL. She says, “This is a recognition of the achievements in my career. It will also allow me to further advance my current research on better understanding the role of the cerebrovascular tree in brain health through the development of novel AI tools.”

Maria says she wanted to participate in this campaign because, “by sharing our journeys and insights, we present ourselves as common people, demystifying the stereotypes around researchers and, ultimately, encouraging younger generations to pursue careers in science.”
