Spotlight on Manon Kok

Say hi to Manon Kok, Associate Professor at Delft University of Technology 🇳🇱. She’s an ELLIS Scholar, part of the ELLIS Unit Delft & ELLIS Program Theory, Algorithms and Computations of Modern Learning Systems.
Her area of research is on the topic of sensor fusion, with a focus on probabilistic modelling, e.g. Gaussian processes, to extract more information from sensor data.
She says, “My goal in the field of AI/ML is to not learn everything from data, but to instead exploit all physical knowledge that is available about the system and only learn the parts of the model that can not be modelled physically.”
