Spotlight on Lisa Koch

Get to know Lisa Koch, Assistant Professor at University of Bern 🇨🇭 and ELLIS Member. Her area of research is machine learning methods for biomedical data analysis, with a focus on medical imaging, with a special interest in aspects of trustworthy AI, including interpretability, generalisation, validation and performance monitoring.
Referring to her work, she says, “my goal is that we develop certifiably safe and effective ML tools that are aligned with clinicians' and patients' needs.”
She says, “I've been reading the spotlights of these inspiring researchers and role models in the past. It's an honour to now share this space with them.” We’re glad you’re a part of #WomenInELLIS, Lisa!
