Get to know Cristina España-Bonet, Researcher at Barcelona Supercomputing Center 🇪🇸 and German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) 🇩🇪. She’s an ELLIS Member who researches Multilinguality, Cultural NLP, and Speech Technologies.
For the future of the field, she says she’d like to see the performance of current AI systems improve for non-dominant languages and cultures.
On why she wanted to participate in this campaign, she says, it “gathers the perspectives and thoughts of researchers from diverse backgrounds, offering a comprehensive overview of AI interests in Europe from the researchers' own point of view.”
