Say hi to Celestine Mendler-Dünner, Principal Investigator at the ELLIS Institute Tübingen, MPI-IS and the Tübingen AI Center 🇩🇪 She researches machine learning with a focus on social questions.
She’s an ELLIS Scholar who researches machine learning with a focus on social questions.
For her goal in the field of AI/ML, she says “I aim to establish scientific foundations that center society in the study of AI—foundations to support system design, policy guardrails, and community efforts—with the broader goal of fostering a healthy and positive AI ecosystem.”
Why did she want to take part in this campaign? She’s convinced that making female researchers more visible can be very effective to provide examples, foster diversity, and motivate young female talent to stay in the field.
