Spotlight on Aline Villavicencio

Meet Aline Villavicencio, Professor of Natural Language Processing at University of Exeter 🇬🇧 and Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte 🇧🇷. She's an ELLIS Member whose research area is Natural Language Processing.
A career highlight for her has been directing an AI Institute because it allows learning about new areas and how to co-design solutions that better serve the communities involved. It also creates opportunities to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams with amazing people working on some of the big challenges facing humanity.
She said she wanted to take part in this campaign because it is important to showcase the diversity of the ELLIS community and of the career paths of its members.
