A European Stage for NeurIPS Papers
EurIPS 2025 provides an opportunity for researchers to present their NeurIPS accepted work in Europe in addition to at the NeurIPS conference. By showing up, senior researchers strengthen Europe’s ability to support world-class, inclusive ML/AI venues.
Taking place on December 3–5, the conference features three days of keynotes, paper presentations, and poster sessions. It’s followed by two days of community-organised workshops on December 6–7, offering a dynamic, informal venue to exchange new ideas and foster collaboration.
"EurIPS is about lowering barriers and broadening access. By creating a space in Europe for NeurIPS papers to be presented, discussed, and built upon, we’re investing in the kind of scientific exchange that shows the strength and diversity of the European research ecosystem." — Serge Belongie, President of the ELLIS Board
The ELLIS UnConference: A Community Event
Kicking off the week, the ELLIS UnConference on December 2 is open to all EurIPS participants at no extra cost. Organised by the ELLIS Network, the day includes a series of workshops run by ELLIS Programs and a community-wide poster session. Participants are invited to showcase their 2025 publications from top conferences (excluding NeurIPS) and journals.
ELLIS Programs, directed by ELLIS Fellows, focus on high-impact problem areas that have the potential to move the needle in modern AI.
Designed to create a calm and collaborative environment, it encourages participants to delve deeply into research questions, share insights, and explore ideas across a wide range of AI topics.
Call for Workshop Proposals
EurIPS 2025 invites proposals for in-person workshops to be held December 6–7. Topics may span machine learning, AI, neuroscience, theory, robotics, societal impact, and beyond.
Organisers who value diversity, early-career engagement, and community building are highly encouraged to submit a proposal.
Affinity events play an important role in supporting visibility and providing meeting places for diverse groups in our community. EurIPS can support several different types of events, e.g. workshops, a lunch/breakfast/dinner facilitating interaction or presentations, or other social events. Learn more and submit an affinity workshop proposal now.
A Grassroots Effort, Backed by the Community
EurIPS is endorsed by NeurIPS and co-developed by ELLIS, the ELLIS Unit Copenhagen, and researchers from across Europe. While the papers are NeurIPS-selected, EurIPS offers a new and additional forum for sharing, discussing, and strengthening the European ML/AI ecosystem. Attendees have a real opportunity to shape the direction of research communities and strategic initiatives, and shape what comes next for European AI.
See you in Copenhagen this December — to present, connect, and shape the future of ML research in Europe.
