Watch the video below and dive into the vibrant atmosphere of the ELLIS UnConference in Bad Teinach, set in the charming town of Bad Teinach in Germany's scenic Black Forest. Last December, this event united ELLIS Fellows and Scholars from across the AI research spectrum, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Departing from the format of typical conferences, the ELLIS “Un”Conference aims to provide an alternative platform for senior researchers within the ELLIS network who value smaller, more focused gatherings to engage in meaningful scientific discussions. Designed to create a calm and collaborative environment, it encourages participants to delve deeply into research questions, share insights, and explore ideas across a wide range of AI topics. By facilitating direct interaction with other Fellows and Scholars within the ELLIS network, this event offers a unique opportunity to build valuable connections, spark interdisciplinary collaborations within Europe, and accelerate progress in the field of AI.

The event was made possible through funding from the state of Baden-Württemberg and is organized by the ELLIS Society. Key co-organizers include the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and the ELLIS Institute in Tübingen, ensuring a high-quality and impactful experience for all participants.
