ELLIS Summer School at Unit Barcelona
The 4-day school combines expert lectures, hands-on activities, poster sessions from students, and networking events, starting from 09:00h and ending at 17:00h. Each day features 2-3 talks by leading researchers, thematic panels, and breakout sessions. Day 2 includes transportation to CVC campus for autonomous vehicle demonstrations and Panel #1. The program concludes with Panel #2, awards, and a closing ceremony. For hands-on learning, we plan a hackathon using the 6,000+ km Catalunya driving dataset from ELLIOT.
Topics span the autonomous driving pipeline and cutting-edge ML approaches including
• End-to-end driving and imitation learning
• Dataset construction and curation
• Simulation and sensor synthesis
• Multimodal foundation models
• BEV perception and reliability
Additional topics include SLAM, self-supervised learning, reinforcement learning, world models, video-language action models, neural 3D reconstruction, and federated learning.
