The new WeCREATE engagement series for female students and young professionals will organise an online event on International Women's Day (8 March 2022) to spread the excitement for creative careers in engineering, computer science, applied maths, and beyond.

WeCREATE is a new series of free, interactive engagement sessions aiming to encourage and inspire female students and young professionals to embrace creative careers in engineering, computer science, and applied maths (with a special focus on AI and machine learning). It is the brainchild of ELLIS Fellow Prof. Mihaela van der Schaar, the John Humphrey Plummer Professor of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Medicine at the University of Cambridge. The series is supported by an international network of enthusiastic volunteers and ambassadors.

The very first session of this series will be organised on International Women’s Day on Tuesday, 8 March 2022. The Zoom event will feature a panel discussion with several female role models who are making their mark on the world with creativity and a sense of purpose every day. The panelists will be diverse in terms of international background, career stage, professional experience, and sector of work (hailing from both industry and academia).

Time & Location: Tuesday, 8 March 2022 from 16:00-17:00 GMT via Zoom
