Mobility Fund

Innovation requires continuous cross-fertilization of ideas. The EU-funded project ELISE has a travel fund to stimulate collaboration in the network, enabling scientists to work with researchers at other sites in the network. ELISE runs two Mobility Programs, one for senior researchers (Fellows Mobility Program) and one for junior researchers (PhDs and postdocs). The ELISE Mobility Programs run from September 1, 2020, to August 31, 2024. Please consult the ELISE website at https://www.elise-ai.eu/ for the latest information.

Fellows Mobility Program

The goal of the ELISE Mobility Program for Experienced Researchers is to bring ELISE/ELLIS Fellows, Scholars, and Members together by supporting their short and long-term scientific visits to initiate collaboration within the ELISE/ELLIS community.

PhD and Postdoc Mobility Program

The PhD and Postdoc exchange program is aimed at existing PhD students and postdocs in the network who want to initiate a collaboration with a Fellow or Member at another site. Young researchers can give their careers a head start by gaining international experience and exchanging ideas with the best labs in Europe. Details about the program and the terms and conditions can be found on the project website: https://www.elise-ai.eu/work/mobility-phd-postdoc.

ELISE - HumaneAINet - Joint call for project

ELISE and HumaneAINet offer a possibility for experienced researchers to apply with a joint project. Project proposals should have a small setup in which 1 or more researchers are financed through HumaneAI micro-project funds and one or more through the ELISE Fellow mobility program, specifically under the ELLIS programs, Human-centric Machine Learning and Semantic, Symbolic and Interpretable Machine Learning, though potentially drawing on other ELLIS programs as well. The team is expected to work together to produce a paper, dataset, or proof of concept system, preferably co-located or at least partially co-located.
