Tenure-Track Position for Neuro-Symbolic Artificial Intelligence (solely for female applicants) in JKU Linz
The Institute for Symbolic Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences announces the opening for a Tenure-Track position in Neuro-Symbolic Artificial Intelligence at the Johannes Kepler University Linz for female candidates holding a Doctorate/PhD degree.
In accordance with the collective agreement for employees and the Austrian Universities Act, the Institute for Symbolic Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences announces the opening for a full-time (40 h/week), six-year Tenure-Track position at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. The university wishes to increase the proportion of academic female faculty and therefore, this position is open exclusively for female applications in support of the Development Plan.
The position is dedicated to highly qualified junior researchers with a Doctorate/PhD and corresponding expertise in the field of Neuro-Symbolic Artificial Intelligence. The position offers the possibility of concluding a qualification agreement that – upon the successful completion of the requirements as outlined in the agreement – may result in a permanent position as Associate Professor (§ 99 Sec. 5 and 6 of the Austrian Universities Act).
The successful candidate should have an outstanding academic track record in the field of symbolic or subsymbolic AI after completing the Doctorate/PhD demonstrating excellence in academic publishing, and possessing expertise teaching university-level courses.
