Postdoctoral Position in Mathematics of Machine Learning

Candidates are expected to have experience or interest in developing a research program in Mathematics of Machine Learning, including optimization methods for machine learning, optimal transport, deep learning methods solving high-dimensional (and possibly infinite-dimensional) partial differential equations and machine learning methods for scientific discovery.

The application package should include the following documents as attachement in a single pdf file:
1) Cover Letter;
2) CV with list of publications;
3) Research statement on current and planned research (max 5 pages);
4) A list of at most three referees, willing to write a letter of recommendation.
Selected candidates will be requested to have their referees send a letter of recommendation directly to the search committee, and will be invited for an online interview. Applications will be evaluated starting from November 30th. The position will remain open until the appropriate candidate is hired.
The selected candidate will perform research at Machine Learning Genova Center in Italy (one year), under the supervision of Simone Di Marino and Lorenzo Rosasco, and at the University of Ottawa (one or two years), under the supervision of Augusto Gerolin.
