PhD Student for Machine Learning applications in Astronomy in Tübingen

We are looking for talented PhD or MSc students interested in ML applications in astronomy (incl. exoplanets, image processing, gravitational wave inference).
In addition, we consider outstanding applicants whose interests are in causal representations / interventional world models, or topics that brings us closer to understanding language/foundation models.
We normally recruit students as part of the ELLIS PhD program, IMPRS, CLS (all around November); however, in exceptional cases we consider applications throughout the year.
