The ELLIS Doctoral Symposium (EDS) 2025 is scheduled to take place from August 25 to 29 in Warsaw, Poland, focusing on the theme of "Robust AI." The event is organized by the ELLIS Unit Warsaw in collaboration with the University of Warsaw.
What is EDS?
The EDS 2025 will gather PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and AI experts from across Europe to discuss advancements in creating reliable and adaptable artificial intelligence systems. Keynote speeches, poster sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities will create a vibrant platform for participants to present their research, exchange ideas, and receive feedback from peers and experts in the field.
The event is supported by the ELIAS project (European Lighthouse of AI for Sustainability), which aims to strengthen the European AI ecosystem by fostering collaboration, excellence, and inclusivity in AI research. PhD students can apply for mobility funding to attend EDS 2025 in Warsaw through the ELIAS project.
How to join?
Submissions are welcome from all PhD students, especially those participating in the ELLIS PhD Postdoc Program, regardless of whether their primary research focus is Robust AI. Priority will be given to the author(s) participating in the ELLIS PhD & Postdoc Program.
First registration round: May 12 – 31, 2025
Second registration round: June 17 – July 11, 2025 (rolling review)
Submissions will be accepted through an online submission form, which will be made available on the ELLIS Doctoral Symposium 2025 website at the latest before the end of the first/second registration round.
