Postdoc position in machine learning algorithms

A postdoc position is available to work on the design and analysis of scalable and robust online learning algorithms with a focus on collaborative, multi-task, and federated learning.
Applicants should have completed or be close to completing a PhD and have research experience in the area of machine learning theory.
The preferred starting date is the beginning of 2023. The duration is one year, with potential for extension.
Salary varies depending on experience and is competitive with respect to European standards.
The position is based at the Department of Computer Science (DI) of Università degli Studi di Milano. DI is the largest computer science department in Italy, and part of the Milan ELLIS unit (with Politecnico di Milano, Bocconi University, and University of Milan-Bicocca).
