The newly established ELLIS NLP program is organising a second workshop with a set of exciting talks and poster session.

The event will be co-located (online) with the BigScience live-event. Graham Neubig from CMU is giving a keynote on "How Can We Know What and When Language Models Know?" and four more invited speakers are presenting exciting research on further topics in natural language processing:

  • Raquel Fernandez (UvA): Human production strategies for neural language generation

  • Barbara Plank (Copenhagen): What to do about Human Disagreement in Natural Language Processing?

  • Stefan Riezler (Heidelberg): Validity, Reliability, and Significance: A Model-Based Approach to Empirical Methods for NLP

  • Thomas Wolf (Huggingface): BigScience: Building a Large-Hadron-Collider in AI and NLP
